Silver Bark Brewery is a premium microbrewery in the Adelaide Hills, serving only the best selection of craft beer for you to enjoy. With our master brewer’s expertise, we deliver unique, personally handcrafted specialty beers that embrace the true flavours of authentic beers inspired from all around the world. Be amazed by our range of styles, including our Pilsener, Belgian Ale, Pale Ale, Amber Ale, India Pale Ale, Irish Red Ale, English Brown Ale and Irish Stout. We also brew a selection of special beers only available on tap at various pop up bar events including Adelaide Beer and BBQ Festival and Barossa Beer and Cider Festival.
Originaly starting up in Mount Barker in 2018, we have recently made the move to follow our dreams of a small farm-based brewery, taproom and hop farm. Situated on our 28 hectare farm in Petwood (about 5 minutes East of Nairne) our new space is now in the planning stages and will provide a unique space to enjoy a tasting with a group of friends. With large gum trees, and breathtaking views of the surrounding country side, we can't wait to welcome you to our new space. Stay tuned on our socials for updates, hopefully we'll be starting the construction and renovations early in 2024.

The Brewshed
EXCITING NEWS, WE HAVE MOVED!!
Yes we have moved, but not very far! We're planning to set up a small brewery and taproom at our new 28 hectare farm at Petwood (about 5 minutes East of Nairne). We will have a new Silver Bark Brewshed with indoor and outdoor spaces providing a fun, relaxed and family friendly atmosphere.
It will be a little while before we can do tastings as we have quite a lot of work to do to build our new space. But we will continue to brew on a small scale and supply our premium beers to our local bottle shops, cafes, restaurants and boutique accommodation. We'll also be at Beer and BBQ Festival so we hope to see you there!

Starting with a small home brewing kit for my personal enjoyment, to now delivering my beers across the Australia and now taking the next big step. I've been pursuing my passion for brewing beer for over 20 years and I enjoy nothing more than seeing our customers' faces light up when they taste a perfect beer.

My passion for beer started more than twenty years ago when I started my adventure in home brewing. Like many brewers, I started out with a typical small home brew kit. However I quickly I got bored with this set up, so I designed and built my first 35L batch all-grain system. After many successful brews with this small system, I decided an upgrade was in order.
Our family was growing so we made the move to Mount Barker to a bigger house and block (had to be big enough for the hop yard and a bigger shed!). Here I built my new 75L batch all grain system which served me well for about 5 years. I still use this system to brew my current 200L batches.

Pilsener - 2019 RABCA Bronze Medal
Our Pilsener is inspired by the traditional European classics. Medium bitterness and a crisp floral finish from generous amounts noble hop varieties.

Inspired by the classic Irish Red Ales. Full bodied from a variety of specially selected crystal malts that deliver a beautiful red hue. 
Irish Stout - 2019 AIBA Bronze Medal / 2020 RABCA silver Medal
Our Stout is robust and rich from loads of crystal and roasted malts. Full bodied with a medium bitterness, this is a hearty beer to be savoured.
